You may recall that back in January we linked to the announcement that Ambiance had been selected by Second Style Magazine to do the redesign of their sim, Second Style Island (formerly LeZoo).   We were honored and thrilled to be chosen for this project and and it has been an absolute pleasure to work with both HeatherDawn Cohen and Felicity Blumenthal of Second Style while spending the last month immersed in the creative and construction process

The new Island is now home to the Second Style Headquarters, over 35 stores, movie theater, cafe, and a beautiful park setting including lake, dock, picnic area and many posing spots for picture taking.  Ambiance is also so pleased to be included in the list of stores now able to call Second Style Island home with our newest Satellite Location located on the Western side of the Island.   The official Grand Opening takes place this coming Friday, February 12th and we hope you’ll join us for a day of festivities.

From the Second Style Magazine Blog:

“We are planning to host a grand re-opening on February 12th.  The day will be full of gifts to shoppers at the sim and a special 2 hour party with DJ in the evening.  We now have an in-world group and hope you join to keep updated.  We will periodically be sending out random gifts to members!  Just search groups for Second Style Island.”

HoneyLicious Spaces is ecstatic to announce a new unique monthly shopping event – Spruce Up Your Space!

Each month, a group of Second Life’s best furniture/decor designers will be joining together to help you Spruce Up Your Space! Here’s how it goes:
- First weekend of the month – we’ll announce that month’s theme!
- Second weekend – a group of our participating designers will release new items for the theme. For that weekend only, the items will be available at special discounted prices!
- Third weekend – the next group of designers will release their new themed items, and again, for that weekend only, you can grab the new stuff at discounted prices!
- Fourth weekend – the final group of designers will release their items at sale prices, for that weekend only!

Keep your eyes on the blogs for updates each weekend on the designers and locations, and you can join our in-world group to get update notices! Search Groups for ‘Spruce Up Your Space’ – membership is free!

HoneyLicious Spaces is a co-op venture between MudHoney, La’Licious Designs, and Second Spaces. The star-studded roster of designers selected to participate in the debut includes some of SL’s best, such as

Our first group of releases will be out on February 13th – don’t miss it, they’ll only be available at the special discount prices for that weekend! See ya then!

Ambiance is offering this darling red chair at a very special price as part of Hodgepodge Mall’s sale event beginning February 1st. Here’s how it works: each contestant gets a Second Spaces shadowbox in which to create their vision of Santa’s escape. We have an expert panel of designer judges who will select our winners – we’ll be looking for creativity, clever aesthetics, smart use of prims, and an overall sense of design. The contest will run for approximately 2 weeks, during which the contestants can organize their shadowboxes. We’ll wrap it up with an event on December 19th when the boxes are ready for viewing — we’ll have a live DJ and festivities, the judges will make their selections and we’ll announce the winners at the end of the event! It’ll be a party, so everyone is invited!

As of today there are only TWO more spots open for contest entries…so HURRY on over and grab a shadow box to enter!

We’ve reopened the Outdoor Furniture section at Ambiance!

Our hopes are that this is a place where people also feel they can just come and hang out and spend time.  Come explore the garden, relax on a comfy chaise or swing, cuddle with your special someone in the romantic gazebo, chill with a friend in our rowboat, or soak away the day’s stresses in a luxurious hot tub.
